JHS Encourages Data Deposit and Archiving

The Journal of Horticultural Sciences (JHS) strongly encourages authors to archive and share the research data underlying their manuscripts in reputable disciplinary or generalist data repositories.

Authors may deposit their data in suitable repositories listed by Scientific Data – Recommended Repositories or in other established repositories appropriate to their field.

Authors of accepted manuscripts may also deposit their research data in the JHS Dataverse Repository:

Data archiving enhances the transparency, reproducibility, accessibility, and reuse of research findings and enables other researchers to verify, analyse, and build upon published research.

Authors are therefore encouraged to deposit the data supporting their accepted manuscripts at the time of acceptance or as early as possible thereafter.

We encourage all authors, reviewers, and readers of JHS to support responsible and open research practices by promoting data sharing, accessibility, and reuse.
